Bang Saen Beach (หาดบางแสน)

Bangsaen Beach (หาดบางแสน) is not a remote area as I thought at the beginning, the beach is famous to local people, especially Thai families but there are enough foreigners here, almost Japanese and French.

The seashore with golden sand streches quite long over 2km with coconut tree-lined road. It took me one hour wandering along the beach.

We have tasted the delicious seafood along the pavement beside the beach and enjoyed fresh air as well. It was such an enjoyable holiday of us. After 5pm, all the vendors must clear up the space for sort of mini-coffee cars at night.

I like this place much more than Pattaya because of its peace and quiet, that's why it has become the destination for locals rather than tourists.

The nightlife is more peaceful compared to any beaches I've been such as Pattaya or Phuket. We rent a mini 2-star hotel closed by the beach, only 5 minutes walking. There are reasonable accommodations along the beach with swimming pools or mini bars.

I was overwhelming with a lot of umbrellas and chairs along the beach, the sand is always clean and in high standard.

This town is home of young students of a university who often come to the beach to play activities after school time.

he might be a teacher

There is a sad love story about this town since 18th century about a couple who died to protect their love, Saen and Muk. The name Bang Saen has derived from his name and a destination Sam Muk hill has derived from her name.

I have felt pity because we just spent one night here, next time would be longer staying.

Cheers!
